OFRH July 25, 1950 Broadcast CD     For forty-three years the Old Fashioned Revival Hour was one of the most widely heard religious radio broadcasts in the world. Each week, starting in 1941 and ending in 1958, Dr. Fuller would host the broadcast from the famed Long Beach Municipal Auditorium where 5,000 persons attended weekly. Many people were drawn to the broadcast not only by Dr. Fuller's stirring messages and altar calls but also by the renouned musicians heard each week including the famed pianist Rudy Atwood.
This broadcast is unique in that it originated from two locations – Long Beach, California and the Kansas City Arena where 12,000 people were in attendance. Famed evangelist Merv Rosell was conducting an evangelistic crusade for twelve days in Kansas City and Dr. Fuller, together with his wife "Honey", Rudy Atwood and the Quartet appeared there for the broadcast. The rest of the staff along with 5,000 people were in attendance in Long Beach. It was an extremely rare occurrance when the broadcast originated from two separate locations and is historically significant in that the Korean Conflict had just begun the month before and references to this fact were made in the broadcast.
This CD was made from the original transcriptions recorded on-air by the local radio station and came from the personal archives of Dr. Merv Rosell. It contains not only the original broadcast but the last part of the previous program, station announcements, a Pepsi commercial and the beginning of the following program. For anyone interested in vintage Christian radio broadcasts this CD is a must and the powerful message by Dr. Fuller is as timely and stirring today as it was when originally delivered over 60 years ago.

Dick Brown's Photo
Feeling Great At 88!
by Pastor Dick Brown
Original Old Fashioned Revival Hour Quartet Baritone

Book Cover    Dick Brown sang baritone in the Old Fashioned Revival Hour Quartet with Rudy Atwood, pianist, from 1946 to 1949, when he left to go into the ministry. He also served with the Goose Creek Quartet at the Little Country Church of Hollywood at the same time. He was in the first graduating class of Fuller Theological Seminary along with Dan Fuller, Dr. Charles Fuller's son, and Bill Bright, who later founded Campus Crusade for Christ. This book recounts some of his experiences on the Broadcast along with his testimony on how God directed his life in his over fifty years as a pastor.
Feeling Great At 88! is an autobiographical journey of a life dedicated to serving God as experienced by Pastor Dick, a man enjoying great health well into his senior years. Dick explains the four layers of health: spiritual, physical, mental and emotional, and encourages the reader to achieve great health as they age. Throughout the book, Dick recounts his personal history as it relates to these layers, and shares lessons and anecdotes of how his successes and failures play into the great health he enjoys today. With a warm and inviting style, Dick uncovers many of the health myths that exist today, while revealing liberating truths that can help readers achieve their own great health.
In 1982 Pastor Dick founded the Old Fashioned Revival Hour Media Ministry which we took over from him in 1998 and continue to operate today. His love of God and desire to be led by the Holy Spirit is true in every aspect of his life and we are proud and honored to call him our friend. For anyone who remembers the Old Fashioned Revival Hour Radio Broadcast and the music ministry of the choir, quartet and Rudy Atwood this book will be a real blessing and a look back into a life of dedication of service to God.
